नक्षत्रवन: देशी झाडांच्या संगोपनासाठी एक उपक्रम

"निसर्गाच्या आणखी एका पावलाने जवळ..." तुरिया मिनी लॅबच्या माध्यमातून आम्ही दरवर्षीप्रमाणे यंदाही 'देशी वृक्षारोपण मोहिमे'चे आयोजन अभिमानाने करत आहोत. वेगाने बदलणाऱ्या हवामानाच्या या काळात, देशी वृक्षप्रजातींचे संवर्धन आणि वृक्षारोपण करणे हे पर्यावरणाचा समतोल राखण्यासाठी तसेच पुढील पिढीसाठी हिरवेगार, निरोगी आणि शाश्वत भविष्य घडवण्यासाठी अत्यंत महत्त्वाचे आहे

आमची प्रेरणा आणि दृष्टी ही अर्थपूर्ण मोहीम मा. श्री. अजय दादा वाळगुडे यांच्या प्रेरणेतून आणि दूरदृष्टीतून साकार झाली आहे. तुरिया लॅबच्या माध्यमातून विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये विज्ञानाची आवड निर्माण करण्याबरोबरच, त्यांना निसर्गाशी जोडणे आणि पर्यावरण संवर्धनाची जाणीव त्यांच्या मनात रुजवणे हे आमचे मुख्य ध्येय आहे.

यंदाचे वैशिष्ट्य – वाढत जाणारे हरित कुटुंब! निसर्गसंवर्धनाचा आमचा हा प्रवास आता अधिक व्यापक होत आहे! यंदा अनेक नवीन शाळांनी या उपक्रमात उत्साहाने सहभाग नोंदवला आहे, ही आमच्यासाठी अत्यंत आनंदाची बाब आहे. या नव्या शाळा, त्यांचे विद्यार्थी आणि शिक्षक यांच्या उत्स्फूर्त सहभागामुळे आमची सामूहिक ताकद अनेकपटींनी वाढली असून, यंदाच्या हंगामात अधिकाधिक देशी वृक्षांची लागवड आणि संवर्धन करण्याचे उद्दिष्ट आम्ही अधिक प्रभावीपणे पूर्ण करू शकणार आहोत. देशी वृक्षांचे महत्त्व • जैवविविधतेचे संरक्षण : देशी वृक्ष स्थानिक पक्षी, फुलपाखरे, मधमाश्या आणि इतर जीवांसाठी नैसर्गिक अधिवास व अन्नाचा स्रोत उपलब्ध करून देतात. • हवामानाशी सुसंगत : हे वृक्ष आपल्या स्थानिक माती आणि हवामानाशी पूर्णपणे जुळवून घेतलेले असल्यामुळे त्यांना कमी पाण्याची गरज भासते आणि त्यांचे जगण्याचे प्रमाण अधिक असते. • दीर्घकालीन पर्यावरणीय लाभ : वड, पिंपळ, कडुलिंब, उंबर यांसारखे देशी वृक्ष ऑक्सिजनचे समृद्ध स्रोत असून वातावरणातील प्रदूषण कमी करण्यास आणि हवा शुद्ध ठेवण्यास महत्त्वाची भूमिका बजावतात. शाळा आणि विद्यार्थ्यांना पर्यावरण संवर्धनासाठी सक्षम बनवणे तुरिया लॅबमध्ये आम्ही केवळ वृक्षारोपण करत नाही, तर पर्यावरण संवर्धनाची आयुष्यभर जपली जाणारी भावना विद्यार्थ्यांच्या मनात रुजवतो. सहभागी शाळांतील विद्यार्थी केवळ रोपे लावत नाहीत, तर त्यांची नियमित काळजी घेऊन त्यांना निरोगी आणि सशक्त वृक्ष बनवण्याची जबाबदारीही स्वीकारतात. या प्रक्रियेतून त्यांच्यामध्ये निसर्गाविषयी प्रेम, जबाबदारी आणि संवेदनशीलता विकसित होते. निसर्गाचे संरक्षण हा आता पर्याय नसून काळाची गरज आहे. या वर्षी आपण सर्व मिळून उद्याच्या हिरव्या, निरोगी आणि समृद्ध भविष्यासाठी आशेचे एक रोप लावूया आणि आपल्या पृथ्वीला अधिक हिरवीगार बनवूया

A Step Closer to Nature...' Under the banner of Turiya Mini Lab, we are proud to continue our annual tradition of the 'Native Tree Plantation Drive' this year. In an era of rapid climate change, preserving and planting native tree species is crucial to maintaining ecological balance and securing a greener, healthier future for the next generation.

Our Vision and Inspiration This impactful initiative was born out of the vision and inspiration of Shri. Ajay Dada Walgude. Along with fostering a love for science through Turiya Lab, our core mission is to connect young minds with nature and instill a deep sense of environmental responsibility in them. What’s New This Year: A Growing Network! Our movement to nurture nature is expanding! We are absolutely thrilled to share that many new schools have joined hands with us in this initiative this year. With the enthusiastic participation of these new schools and their students, our collective energy has multiplied, allowing us to plant and care for an even larger number of native saplings this season.

Why Native Trees? Preserving Biodiversity: Native trees provide the perfect natural habitat and food source for local birds, butterflies, and insects. Climate Resilient: Being perfectly adapted to our local soil and weather conditions, these trees require less water and have a higher survival rate. Long-term Ecological Benefit: Trees like Banyan, Peepal, Neem, and Umbar act as powerful oxygen hubs and naturally purify the air. Empowering Schools and Students At Turiya Lab, we don't just plant trees—we cultivate a lifelong commitment to conservation. Students from all participating schools are actively involved in the process, learning not just how to plant a sapling, but taking ownership of its growth and nurturing it into a thriving tree. Protecting nature is no longer a choice; it is a necessity. This season, let’s plant a hope for tomorrow and make our Earth a little greener!"
